Ingredients

  • English muffins

  • Save da Sea Smoked Salmon

  • Plant-based butter

  • Firm tofu

  • Soy sauce

  • Nutritional yeast

  • Turmeric (for colour)

  • Black salt (kala namak, for an eggy flavour)

  • Black pepper

  • Olive oil

  • Raw cashews (soaked)

  • Lemon juice

  • Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, nutritional yeast, turmeric, black salt, and a bit of black pepper.

  2. Marinate tofu slices for 10–15 minutes.

  3. Lightly pan-fry tofu slices for 2–3 minutes on each side in olive oil.

  4. Blend soaked cashews, warm water, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, nutritional yeast, turmeric, and black salt until smooth and creamy.

  5. Warm gently in a pan or microwave.

  6. Slice and toast the English muffins. Spread lightly with plant-based butter.

  7. Place slices of Save da Sea Smoked Salmon on each English muffin.

  8. Place a tofu “egg” on each muffin half and spoon warm hollandaise sauce over top.

  9. Finish with a sprinkle of black pepper and other toppings of your preference!
